Who doesn’t love pictures? It’s a great way to capture an important moment that we don’t want to forget, and one that we want to be able to look on.
But what if you don’t feel confident in front of the camera and just don’t know what to do? Well, if that’s the case, don’t worry, we felt the exact same way. Believe it or not, we had absolutely no idea how to pose in pictures. Don’t believe me? Here’s proof:
However, after 5 years of taking daily pictures, we finally got the hang of it and found poses that worked best for us. And since summer is here, we are sure that you will want to create some beautiful pictures as well. We already shared with you some solo posing ideas, so now it's time we share our favorite couple poses with you!
For some, it might be easier to pose with another person, but if one or both of you don’t know what to do, it can be hard to find the perfect pic. Between closed eyes, awkward arm placements, and weird expressions - it’s not easy to pose with someone else. But there’s no need to worry! You shouldn't have to miss out on capturing your favorite moments with your favorite people because you feel uncomfortable. That's why we’re going to share some of our favorite poses with you so that you know exactly what to do next time the camera’s out. Let's start with some easy ones:
Look at the view
The easiest thing you can do is simply turn around and take in your surroundings This is the perfect pose to drag the attention to the background. You can stand up or sit down and you don’t need to worry about blinking!
Strolling around
Another very simple pose is when you and your partner just walk towards the camera, hand in hand, or wrap your arms around each other. You can look at each other or into the distance - this will get you great results.
You lift me up
Next, you can also let your partner lift you while facing each other (or not). Either way, these shots will look so cute and magical.
Ladylike
The 90-degree leg position has become the go-to pose for many girls, because of its cheekiness and undeniably “love is in the air” feel. It looks super cute, especially while kissing or being lifted up (and it makes your leg look longer too).
Lay in your partner’s arms
Another pose we like to do is to just sit down and lay in our partner’s arms. It’s so simple, yet so cute! You can do this by the pool, at the beach, or anywhere really. It’ll give your pictures a laid-back feeling (and it’ll give you a break from standing around).
Lay all your love on me
If you have watched Mamma Mia, then you will get the vibes for this pose! Capture an intimate moment with your partner by either sitting across from each other by crawling toward your significant other.
Jump!
We love jumping together! It's so much fun and the results are always so different. Jump into the pool, the ocean, or from a boat - it doesn't really matter, just jump. Of course, you can also jump on normal ground, just be careful that you don't hurt yourself.
Twirling around
If you like dancing or simply transmitting a good vibe, then twirling around with your significant other is another cute posing option. You can do this while lifting, or just on the ground. You might get a bit dizzy, so watch out - but you will definitely get some natural, happy shots!
Don’t be shy
Now, before you say that your partner is too shy for all of these poses, why don’t you try and compromise? One of you faces towards the camera and the other one shows their back. That way you get a very cute pick without exposing the other person too much or making them feel uncomfortable.
Take me with you
Another great option for those with a shy partner is this one: reach out to your significant other like you are going to take them on an adventure! You can try this in different ways: standing up, sitting down, looking away, or straight into the camera. You will not only take your partner with you but also whoever is seeing the picture!
Include your furry friends
Alright, now this might be one of our favorite ways to pose: with our dogs! If you have a pet at home why don't you include them in your picture? They are part of your family, so whenever you want to share something more personal, this is the perfect opportunity. Of course, you can also shoot with any other animals that you come across. Pictures with furry friends are always popular, and you don’t need to worry too much about your actual pose because they will be the center of attention anyway!
Just have fun!
The last pose (or rather tip) I want to give you is just to have fun. Sometimes our most improvised pictures are the best. Just play around with your partner, run around, catch each other, or tell a joke. These candid and “in the moment” pictures are often the ones we end up liking most!

Remember, while it’s always great to get inspiration from other creators, stay true to yourself and create photos that resonate with you and what you feel comfortable with.
The best way to find your own style is through practice. Plan your photoshoot, have patience and remember, you can take as many images as you like, so don’t get upset if you are not happy with the first results. It is so important to just have fun in front of the camera. The worst that can happen is that you don’t like the picture - and then you can always just delete it.
